Salongen Conference Centre – Ibsenkvartalet, in the middle of Oslo, is large but space was limited exactly where access between two split-levels had to be made disabled-friendly, and therefore, the choice fell on the ML7 compact mini-lift from Cama.
The lift was supplied by Cama’s Norwegian distributor, Handicare, who installed it in close collaboration with architect Cecilie Langmoen Nilsen from Dyrø & Moen AS Arkitekter MNAL and the owner, KLP Eiendom, so that it blends perfectly into the surroundings.
Øystein Geitz, Senior Project Manager from Handicare, says that the lift was adapted to the architect’s wishes with its unique colour and the same floor covering used in the rest of the conference centre, which has produced an elegant and fully formed result.
Salongen Conference Centre – Ibsenkvartalet is centrally located in Oslo close to hotels, theatres, etc., – a place where thousands of people are on the move every day. Now it is a little easier for disabled and walking-impaired people to move between the two levels of the centre. Read more: www.salongenkonferanse.no.
